Coronavirus: School Update
18 March 2020 (by admin)
As you are all aware, the situation regarding Coronavirus is constantly evolving and we will continue to follow daily advice from Public Health England, the Department for Education and the local authority.
To keep your children, our staff and our community safe, we feel that it is now necessary to cancel all of the additional activities we had planned before Easter ie. After School Clubs; Church Activity Club; Design an Easter Cross Workshop; Easter Service and Parents’ Evening.
We currently have three members of staff self-isolating in line with government guidance: Mrs Curzon, Miss Read and Mrs Slater. At present, we are able to cover these staff absences - I will be teaching full-time and teaching assistants have kindly agreed to work additional hours to sustain learning.
Staff are working hard to plan activities for home learning in the event of school closure. These activities will be posted regularly if we do close but until then, children who are self-isolating may access the online learning links.
These are unprecedented times and I thank you all for your support and understanding. Please ‘keep an eye out’ for Jotter updates and stay safe.
