May Day Parade
20 April 2021 (by admin)
As you are aware, we traditionally celebrate May Day with dancing and a procession. We know that everyone has missed out on so much during the pandemic, so after looking at the guidance regarding gatherings and following much discussion, we have decided that we would still like to uphold this tradition but must do so with social distancing in mind:
All children are encouraged to decorate Maypoles and bring them into school on Friday 30th April. Class 2 parents only are invited to watch the crowning of our May King and Queen at 2:00pm from the perimeter of the playground. We will then parade around the village, following the same route as the Easter Bonnet Parade from 2:15pm with class bubbles leaving school at two minutes intervals. All parents are welcome to watch our parade but I would ask spectators to watch from the opposite side of the road, adhering to social distancing guidelines.
We look forward to seeing you.
