Home Learning for individual pupils absent while the rest of their bubble is in operation
This comprises of individualised, hard copy learning and/or directed online learning. On our ‘e-learn’ platform there is a ‘Home Learning’ site. This has revision maths modules and directs you to the National Academy for daily scheduled lessons for each year group. There is also an online learning tab where you will be directed to a wide range of online learning resources currently used in school such as SumDog, TTRS, White Rose Maths, and freely available websites such as BBC Bitesize, Oxford Owls, Hungry Little Minds and Oak Academy
Staff are happy to plan a package of books/worksheets etc. matched to the work covered in class and to the individual needs of each child. This can then be delivered or posted to you and brought back and quarantined when your child(ren) return to school
Remote Home Learning for whole school or whole bubble closures
This will comprise of daily directed online learning. The remote learning offer will be aligned with the curriculum that would normally be taught in school and staff will upload maths, English and topic activities daily at 9:00am. The platform then allows you to upload the work you have completed and allows staff to send individual feedback. This will enable teachers to assess each child’s work, monitor performance and match the learning more closely to the learning which takes place in class. We also encourage pupils to take regular comfort breaks and use the PE learning site so that they stay as active as possible.
We do understand that if children are unwell, they may not be able to complete work. Similarly, if staff become unwell, they may not be able to update online tasks straight away.
